 | Weather.
 | Weather has always interested me. Even though I thought seriously about
majoring in other things, weather seemed to intrigue me the most. What's so intriguing
about the weather? Well, think about it. The weather affects our lives everyday! Not only
does it affect our lives when it turns destructive, but also affects our lives on a calm,
sunny day. What do we think about most when planning an outdoor activity? The weather!
What do we think about when we go out to work? The weather! Whether it's going shopping or
going to a football game, weather plays a very important role in our lives each and every
day!

 | Mission work.
 | Romania is one of my favorite places in the entire world to visit.
Romania is a beautiful country with beautiful people. Most people, from my experience, are
very friendly; but, as is understandable, they are very skeptical and cautious people. I
had the privilege of going to Romania ,for the first time, in 1995. Along with about 30
other Americans, we set out to teach the Bible to as many people as we could. Surprisingly
enough, many people came to be taught about God's saving grace. Also while I was there, I
helped to begin the deaf ministry there in Pitesti(the city in which we worked). In 1997,
I went back to Romania for the second time. Everything was just as beautiful as before. The
only difference was the new McDonald's down the street from the hotel we were in. This
summer('99) I hope to return to Romania to continue the mission work there. My brother,
Lord willing, will be with me, along with about 30 other Americans. Please pray for the
work in Romania and around the world.

 | Glasgow is a large city in southern Scotland. Scotland is another very
beautiful place to visit. I had the privilege of visiting this lovely country in the
summer of 1998. Along with about 40 other students, we went to sing about God's love for
man. The choral group which I was in, the Freed-Hardeman University Sonshine Singers, went
there with many goals. Many were achieved while we were there. Other goals were achieved
after we left. I think it's safe to say that everyone who went absolutely loved the trip
and grew very much from it. Pray for the work there.

wrote on Romania. Who knows? You might learn something!

 | Sign language.
 | Although I haven't been able to use my sign language much since my last
trip to Romania. I never regretted knowing the language. Sign language is a very important
language to know. You never know when you might need to help interpret for a deaf
person(i.e. my first trip to Romania). Although you may not learn the entire language, at
least learn the alphabet! At least then you will be able to communicate with those who are
deaf.
